Wizard of OZ Glassware

Fishs Eddy has some great glassware.  I’m quite fond of their Alice In Wonderland and Wizard of Oz collections.

Red Queen sketch by Tim Burton for Alice In Wonderland

I wouldn’t actually own this bag, but I like it.  I like the dress even more.

Danny Elfman
“Alice’s Theme”
Alice in Wonderland (2010)

Free download from Amazon. Bitchin’.

I’m going to see this tomorrow and this has me terribly excited for it. If the film ends up being horrible, at least there’s this piece of music. I love this.

Danny Elfman scores again. I’m going to see it today :)

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Perfume Oils

My new favorite Black Phoenix Alchemy perfumes are called Eat Me, Drink Me, and Tombstone.

I am completely in love.

They had a booth at the C2E2 comicon & I was able to smell away at my little heart’s desire.  I wanted to take home almost everything, but settled on these three for now.  I also picked up a T-shirt from the BPAL Trading Post.

Drink Me is my guy’s favorite.  You really do just want to lick it.  I love mouth-watering smells, and both Eat Me & Drink Me deliver those in spades.  Tombstone really caught my nose too.  From the sound, I thought it would be cold- like a tombstone in a graveyard.  It is not- it is the Tombstone of the Old West.  It has a wonderfully warm smell with lots of vanilla.

Halloween Prep. Time: Alice In Wonderland

I was semi-inspired by Black Butler to do an Alice In Wonderland theme for Halloween this year.  I have to start now, as some sewing and other prep. is involved to make this happen & I’m rather lazy, so I’ll need the few months to do it.

This is the starting inspiration point:

My son wants a more Tim Burton version of the Mad Hatter, so the starting inspiration point for his costume is this:

I never start completely from scratch with costumes, as I’m a big believer in having other uses for things.  Because of this, I’ve already got a lot of pieces that can be used to pull these costumes together.  I also always have to go bare minimum with Sexy Face’s costume, because he doesn’t tolerate much on him.

My Alice costume takes its inspiration from cross-dressing Ciel of Black Butler.  I’m not going cosplay with this, but doing a female version, which means I’m adding pigtails, making it a dress & losing the eye-patch.  In other words, it’s kinda a blue-grey haired Alice with stripes.

I’ve already got everything for this except the dress & apron, so those will probably just be a purchase.
