“Stuff Mom Never Told You” did an interesting podcast on this. 

I’d not given much thought to penis size.  I’d venture to say that most women don’t.  It seems to be an obsession solely belonging to men.  This makes sense of course, being that they are the ones who actually have a penis.

What is strange to me is the idea that men think women actually care about this.  I’m going to let you in on the big secret gentlemen:  we don’t.

This just isn’t a general female discussion topic.  Heterosexual women care about sex & will talk about that.  They’ll talk about good sex, bad sex, weird sex… but not about the size of the penis used for said sex.  There is one big exception to this, and that is if the penis was particularly surprising/unusual. 

So why are men so obsessed with the size of their penis if women don’t care?  Well, you can’t really blame them.  Women do the same thing with their breasts and weight.  Both genders have tendencies to fixate on random things about their physicality and wish they were different. 

Just to clear up some misconceptions about this penis issue:

1. The average size of a penis is 4-6 inches, making most erect penises around 5.5” / 6”.  You aren’t small, Buddy, you’re normal
2. That average size applies to all races. 
3. Your partner cares how you use it, not how big it is
